DCDMs and DCPs created: 3 Ozaphan silent films

We created the Digital Cinema Distribution Master (DCDM) and the DCPs (Digital Cinema Package) of the Ozaphan silent films „Comment on fabrique une voiture sans chevaux“, “Ozalid” and “Silberne Meeresbeute”  for MWA Services / DFF for archiving at the Bundesarchiv. The Ozaphan film material was restored at MWA Services in Wiesbaden and then scanned there.

“The other fields” at the Filmreihe “Duisburg im Bilde”

In February, the Duisburg Film Week will be showing Marco Kugel’s and Simon Quack’s ‘Die anderen Plätze’ as part of its ‘Duisburg im Bilde’ film series. The football film, which is not really a football film, is about unemployment in professional football. The directors visited a training camp in Wedau, which the Association of Contract Footballers (VDV) organises every summer for professionals without a club.

The film will be followed by a discussion with Marco Kugel and Simon Quack.

World premiere at the IFFR: The Shipwrecked Tryptich

World premiere at the IFFR in Rotterdam with DCP by Digital Cinema Mastering: ‘The shipwrecked Tryptich’ by Neuzeit Filmagentur:

Expelled from humanity and yet bound to it – being shipwrecked means existing in this ambivalent space. Filmmaker Deniz Eroglu explores this concept through three independent episodes: a nursing home on New Year’s Eve, a sun-drenched Congolese family home and the medieval German landscape.

DCDM / Digital Cinema Distribution Master created: “Ralentir la chute”

We were allowed to create the Digital Cinema Distribution Master (DCDM) of ‘Ralentir la chute’ for Benedetta Films for storage at the Federal Archives: About the film: A large ski jump gleams metallically in the late summer light of the Alps. Two ski jumpers rehearse synchronised movements in the valley, answer generic questions in front of a green screen and pose on the hill while a film crew observes them.
