Subtitles in digital cinema footage are implemented as .XML-files and are rendered by the projector. These .XML-files contain the subtitles themselves as well as the commands e.g. when and where they are shown and what kind of font will be used. Therefore the .XML-files have to be formatted according to the CineCanvas format invented by Texas Instruments. We are able to read / process allmost all kinds of common formats for subtitles and convert them to .XML. It is also possible to implement custom fonts, but they have to meet certain specifications. This CineCanvas format of .XML-files offers a whole bunch of possible customizations, so don´t hesitate to contact us to get further information.
